1. Scope of this policy
This policy covers personal information collected through the growthcraft.org.za website itself — our contact form, quote requests, the Interactive Portfolio intake form, and product download forms.
It does not cover how MenuScreen, ReviewLoop, or BookFlow handle personal information once you've installed one of them on your own WordPress site — that's data you (as the plugin owner) collect from your own customers, and each plugin has its own built-in privacy controls (for example, ReviewLoop's consent tracking and one-click customer data deletion). You're responsible for your own site's privacy policy covering that data.
2. Responsible party
GrowthCraft, a sole-proprietor business operated by Pieter van Greunen, is the "responsible party" under POPIA for personal information collected through this website. Its service address is 18 Hafele St, Durbanville, Cape Town, 7550, South Africa. Full contact details are on our Business Contact Details page.
3. What we collect
| Where | What we collect |
|---|---|
| Contact form | Name, email, phone, your message |
| Quote request form | Name, business name, email, phone, existing website URL, product/service selected, project details |
| Interactive Portfolio intake | Business name, contact email/phone, delivery choice, logo file, brand colors, business description, project details and photos, testimonials, call-to-action preference |
| Product download form | Name (optional), email address |
| WooCommerce checkout and My Account | Name, company, billing details, contact details, orders, subscriptions, account information and download history |
| Licence service | Licence key, activated website URL, plugin version, plan, activation status and last validation date |
4. How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry or quote request;
- To build and deliver your Interactive Portfolio site;
- To send you the plugin download you requested and follow up about it;
- To administer license keys, plan upgrades, and support for products you've purchased;
- To improve our products and this website.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Our legal basis
We process your information based on your consent (submitting a form to us) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and providing the products/services you've requested.
6. Photo and file uploads
Logos and project photos uploaded through the Interactive Portfolio intake form are stored on our server and used only to build your portfolio site. We check that uploaded files are genuine images before accepting them. We don't currently have an automatic deletion schedule for these files — see our note in the Business Details page, or ask us to delete yours once your project is complete.
7. Cookies and analytics
WordPress and WooCommerce use essential cookies to operate security, the shopping cart, checkout and customer accounts. Optional analytics or marketing cookies will only be used when they are disclosed through the site's cookie controls and, where required, after consent. You can change optional-cookie choices through the site's cookie settings when those tools are enabled.
8. Third-party services
- WhatsApp — WhatsApp links on this site open a chat via Meta's WhatsApp service, governed by Meta's own privacy policy.
- Email delivery — form submissions are emailed to us through our own hosting provider's mail server.
- WooCommerce and WordPress — operate the store, customer accounts, orders and downloads.
- PayFast, PayPal and banking providers — process payments and payment status. GrowthCraft does not store complete card or online-banking credentials.
- Google Business Profile API — used by ReviewLoop once installed on a customer's own site; not part of this website's own data collection.
9. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and quote information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and, where relevant, to maintain records of a purchase. Interactive Portfolio project files are kept until the project is complete and for a reasonable period afterward in case you need changes, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
10. Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information;
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to any legal or legitimate business reason we may need to keep it;
- Object to how we're using your information;
- Lodge a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za) if you believe we've handled your information unlawfully.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including validating and restricting file uploads and using secure email delivery. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
12. Children's privacy
Our website and products are intended for business use by adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
